On Friday, October 4th, the Driven By Design producing team, launched its first series of fashion month presentations, opening up L.A. Fashion week with an amazing group of designer collections presented on the runway. The Real Husbands of Hollywood actress and comedian, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams hosted this special evening located at the L.A. Mart in downtown Los Angeles. Over 900 hundred people consisting of media, talent and business executives were present for the first launch fashion production created by Lela Christine, Style Editorial Director of Fab Five Lifestyle magazine (www.fabfivelifestyle.com) and her co-producer Lori A. Neal of Diamond Interiors L.A.
The Driven By Design L.A. runway opened up with an extraordinary performance from Malina Moye (MalinaMoye.com), one of the top 10 female guitarists to know” who set the tone with an electrifying kick-off fashion experience on stage. Malina’s star style presence on stage excited the audience as she walked down the runway in a stylish designer ensemble created just for her by For The Stars Fashion House Presenting Rocky Gathercole. The added plus factor, several runway models were flanked on both side of the runway in couture embellished gowns and intricate provocative body wear that gave the audience a stunning opening for what was to come on the runway. The featured fashion and jewelry designer who presented their collection during the evening were: Thai Nguyen (Tie-Win), Brian “BK” Phillips, Dena Burton Collection, Felio Siby, Karlita Designs and Sara Horne, Cochet Fashion By Design. Each designer gave the audience a taste of great style and elegance on the runway. America’s Next Top Model Cycle 20 contestant Marvin Cortes walked Miami-based Luxury Menswear Line FELIO SIBY (www.feliosiby.com) True fashion was represented in all of the designers’ collection. The Driven By Design L.A. production is among the new kids on the block sure to make a huge impact – adding something new to the fashion scene during L.A. Fashion week for Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter seasonal presentations in the city.
Lela wrote the plan for the runway production on July 4th, 2013. The event production launched on August 7th. Within less than eight weeks, she managed to bring on beauty, automotive and corporate brand partners that added value to the overall strategy to produced a fashion runway event that would add flavor and a new brand fashion production to the local fashion circuit.
The added interior style scene of the entire day of festivities was created by Lori A. Neal, Principal of Diamond Interiors LA. The “Eye Candy” venue layout for the fashion runway and designer lounge areas were furnished by Dillon Wells, Bliss Studio, Tesoro Décor in addition to several notable fine furnishing companies in based in Los Angeles.

The second series of Driven By Design L.A. will be back in full effect next March 2014. New Fall/Winter runway presentations will once again hit the runways at a new location that is sure to excite the fashion and style communities.
