Simay Bülbül studied at the Department of Fashion Design and Marketing of the Bournemouth Arts Institute between 2000 and 2001. She also worked as an assistant of designers, Oscar and Süleyman in Holland.
She then worked in textile and leather sector. In 2003, she won first prize in the “5th deri’signer” leather design competition. Since 2000, Bülbül has participated in many art activities and projects in Turkey and abroad. In 2005, she founded her own brand “Simay”. Since then, she has designed and created her collections. In 2009, Bülbül opened her boutique “Simay Bülbül Leather Design Boutique” in Galata, Istanbul. In 2010, she participated in Istanbul Fashion Week 2010.
