Fab Five Lifestyle Trends For Women & Men

Internationally, Los Angeles is best known for television and film. Some of the biggest business deals with major brands are launched right in our own backyard. We all have been told New York is the fashion capital in America. The Fab Five Lifestyle news teams wants to share with its readers, its time to take a second look within the fashion world here in our hometown.

Here is the “Fab Five Style” Trends To Look for this Year In Women’s wear:

Capes
The cape is such a perfect winter layering staple that it can be hard to imagine wearing one in spring. Capes be a pleasant and unexpected surprise in the warmer months. Burberry Prorsum’s runway was the perfect example of that: capes in Duchess Satin in seasonal colours proved that the cape was here to stay, and more desirable than ever.

Oriental-inspired Clothing
You known when Miuccia Prada jumps onto something, it’s here to stay… for a while at least. Prada’s Japanese-inspired runway of modern Geisha girls brought the oriental fashion fascination into the coming warmer months. And it wasn’t just Prada – the likes of Etro, Issa and Behnaz Sarafpour bought Asian influences of their own. So those kimonos and oriental-print silks you got for fall, are more than welcome to stick around.

Leather skirts
Leather works across the seasons and those leather skirts we loved so much for the colder months go in the mix this spring and summer. Lighter weight leathers in lighter hues will of course be ideal, but don’t forget that you can always head out at night once the sun has gone down in your black pleated leather skirt even in spring.

1950’s Retro Pieces
Picture the 1950s style costume jewelry, pencil skirts, vintage-style hats and anything that takes its cues from the bold, bright side of 1960s fashion, fear not: there’s no reason you can’t keep playing dress-ups with it. Spring brings ample opportunity to show off legs in micro-mini mod dresses such as those by Milly dress, or to cinch waists and layer on the attitude like a retro bombshell babe.

Metallics
The spring 2013 runways shows last year place the spotlight on metallic hues: bronze, gold, silver, leather, silk and lurex. This will continue throughout various designer collection in 2013. As mentioned with many fashion style-reporting sites, metallics you’ve invested are a must to wear this year.

The glamour’s celebrities who were trending at this years Oscars in our “Fab Five Style” red carpet couture dress spotlight were: Halle Berry in her long sleeved black, silver, and sheer Versace dress. Kerry Washington in her coral Miu Miu dress Fred Leighton ring.

Rich Colors
As seen at this years Oscars, rich navy hues to deeper shades of grey will be a must to add to your Fab Five menswear lifestyle. Bold bright colors are still in the mix throughout spring and summer. You will find that many menswear designers are placing striped pants with black sweaters finishing an outfit with a bright tie. In general sand tones and navy colors in men’s suiting continue to be a standard in men’s fashion. As always black and gray are prominent wardrobe colors for men and teens. Adding deep red is a great color to combine in a man’s wardrobe with a hint of brown tones, military greens, and even tones of grey. You can also take help of online stores like Inocencias to add to your Fab Five menswear lifestyle and for revamping your wardrobe.
