Delphine Courteille, hair stylist for Moroccanoil, shared details about how she prepared for the show and the look she created for the runway presentation.
How “The Look” Was Created
Delphine Courteille said she was inspired by the look of idealistic young women who are somewhat austere and very contemporary. She created a fragile yet graphic hairstyle which complements the romanticism of the collection. She explains here how she did it: “First, I prepared the hair with Moroccanoil Treatment to condition and improve manageability.
“I then started by straightening the hair in sections using a Moroccanoil XLPRO Paddle Brush with Moroccanoil Professional Series Hair Dryer and a flat iron until all of the hair was perfectly straight. “To maintain the straight style, I used Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream or Moroccanoil Frizz Control depending on the texture of the hair, adding hydration to tame fly-aways and prevent frizz. “Then I separated the top section, drawing a clear part from ear to ear to create a half ponytail, and secured using Japanese elastic. I wrapped a small section of hair around the base of the ponytail to conceal the elastic and pinned the end under the ponytail. “I pulled the hair back very tightly and used Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium to make the top of the style sleek, smooth and secure.
“Finally, I assembled all of the hair behind the neck between the shoulder blades and tied it together at the base using a Japanese thread an inch above the ends of the hair. “I finished the look with a small drop of Moroccanoil Treatment applied to the ends of the hair, and a spray of Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine to create beautiful shine and a lustrous, healthy finish from root to tip.” For more insight, link into the world of Moroccanoil products at www.moroccanoil.com.
