Runway highlights from GUIDO MARIA KRETSCHMER Spring/Summer 2015 Collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin.We selected a few Spring 2015 styles we think are fabulous and just right for you in this new year. This designer, Kretschmer was born in 1965 in Münster and grew up in a (Warendorf). His design career began in Ibiza with a Spartan stand at the popular hippie market of the Balearic Islands. Here the musicians Udo Lindenberg was aware of him, which ordered for his former tour brocade jackets. Kretschmer 1987 won his first major tender and founded the company “GMK by pepper” headquartered in Münster and Palma de Mallorca and the fashion label “Guido Maria Kretschmer Corporate Fashion“. With an initial staff of three, he worked mainly as a fashion designer for large companies. His first major contract was the creation of uniforms for the crew members of the airline Hapag Lloyd. In addition to corporate clothing for the German Telekom, Kempinski Hotel, Hotel Maritim, Mont Blanc and Emirates Airlines, he produced two and a half million suits for the travel group TUI and one of Europe’s most successful corporate fashion designers.
With the founding of the label “Guido Maria Couture” he put then in 2004 his creative focus on the design of the exclusive day and evening attire and accessories to arranged. His first fashion shows in this division he showed in Shanghai and Tokyo. In 2005 he presented his creations for the first time at the Berlin Fashion Week. The actress Katharina Thalbach was Kretschmer design stage wardrobe for an Oscar Wilde piece. Since then he has worked as a costume designer for various theater and film productions.
Kretschmer paid including the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper Berlin for the production of The Barber of Seville, and in the film industry, he worked for Hands off Mississippi, Messy Christmas and Rubbeldiekatz kostümbildnerisch active. In the last two films he also took a guest role. His label is regularly represented at major fashion shows.
