In the past month, our style team has focused on some of the entertainment industry’s female stars and their Fab Five Lifestyles. With spring in the air, many men are also looking to restore their fitness and re-style or update their wardrobes. For that reason, we bring you Roman Harper, an extraordinary athlete who earned Pro Bowl selections in 2009 and 2010 and helped lead the New Orleans Saints to Super Bowl XLIV.
Chatting with Roman was indeed an eye-opening experience. Some believe that men generally don’t have a sense of fashion – that they are satisfied wearing jeans and a t-shirt. I am here to share; many men are embracing looks worthy of G.Q.
Roman shared that his favorite colors are teal, red, black, grey and that he is also a big fan of wearing bright colors. As for suits, he is styled by his go-to style guru Mr. Brent Lob of Q Custom Clothing. When I asked, “Do you prefer linen or wool suits”? Roman expressed his preference for linen. However, he noted that wool suits are essential when he is travelling in cold-weather states during the winter. I asked Roman, what’s your Super Bowl winning style after a game? He shares that when his team had the honor of winning the Super Bowl, he was all the way Fab Five with his black trousers, black suspenders leaving one strap off the shoulder, his V-Neck button shirt, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes and last – but not least – his black diamond watch. Now, that’s called star style fabulous!
The world of Roman Harper outside the football field is simple. This thirty-year-old is all about keeping his everyday style a bit trending and classic. When we focused on his favorite shoes, he noted that Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo and Nike are in his closet.
The laugh-out-loud moment in our conversation came when we were on the subject of blue jeans he prefers and the cologne brands he wears. Roman says he often rocks his own natural aroma and on special occasions wears Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio cologne for men. As for denim, he is a big fan of Diesel. Like many NFL players, he has a muscular build and doesn’t wear skinny jeans because they would be uncomfortable.
In closing, I asked Roman to share his grooming essentials in relation to what keeps his face, hands and body on point. “I like cucumber and lavender scents,” he said. “When it comes to shower gels – Palmer’s Shea Cocoa Butter and Jergens Shea Butter Lotion. I have been blessed with good skin, so I keep my grooming basics simple.”
This NFL player is always in the know when it comes to keeping his body fit and dressing right for the occasion.
