Last Saturday, the Beverly Center in Los Angeles, CA, hosted a captivating and glamorous event that left attendees with a fashion-forward Poker Face. On June 17, 2023, the iconic venue welcomed costume designer Trayce Gigi Field and assistant costume designer Rochelle Carino for an enlightening panel on the art of costume design.
The eagerly awaited event, held at the 6th-floor Grand Court, was a remarkable fusion of fashion, entertainment, and style. Moderated by the esteemed Spencer Williams of The Art of Costume, the panel shed light on the intricate process of designing costumes for the hit series “Poker Face.”
Guests were greeted with a captivating reception, complete with a poker table that set the tone for the evening. DJ Asha spun an electric mix of tunes, infusing the space with an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation. Culinary delights were provided by Yardbird, offering delectable bites and specialty beverages to tantalize the taste buds of the fashion-forward attendees.
Among the notable personalities in attendance were Trayce Gigi Field herself, the mastermind behind the captivating costumes of “Poker Face,” and Rochelle Carino, the talented assistant costume designer. Terry Gordon, President of the Costume Designers Guild, and Ivy Thaide, the Guild’s Vice President, also graced the event with their presence. Brigitta Romanov, the Costume Designers Guild’s Executive Director, and Antoinette Messam, an esteemed costume designer, further added to the star-studded atmosphere.
Following the enlightening panel discussion, the costumes from “Poker Face” took center stage. Patrons of the Beverly Center were treated to an exclusive window display on Level 6, located near Macy’s. The vibrant and captivating designs by Trayce Gigi Field will be on view until August 14, allowing fashion enthusiasts to marvel at the intricate craftsmanship and artistic vision behind the costumes.
