The inspiration for the exhibit was created in March of 2020, when New York City went into lockdown and all of Ms. Mosess projects, including a campaign for the Fragrance Foundation that had been a year in the works, ground to a halt. Ms. Moses is a fashion industry veteran with a historical career, including succeeding Gianni Versace at the Italian label, Genny, in Milan in the 1990s. Shes mostly known for her impressionistic portraits of women rendered in vivid colors and highly stylized, akin to a fashion sketch.
Bubblegum, Lipstick, and Hope is a world of fashionable delights, colorful dreams, bold patterns, and stylish environments. Women holding their heads up high, putting on their best to champion themselves and holding their heads up high with dignity. There is no standard of beauty. Each remarkable woman is her own champion.
The exhibit, along with 17 larger-than-life murals, will cover the facade of Puccis Wynwood free-standing gallery, celebrating the female essence of childish charms, cherished comforts, and creative dreams but most importantly, hope.
