Contemporary Accessories Line, SOPHIE BLAKE NY Makes its West Coast Debut in Los Angeles. Sophie Blake New York is a contemporary accessories line inspired by architecture, geometry and art. Never before seen on the West Coast, Sophie Blake NY is making its debut as the exclusive accessories line for the M Dot Design Studio’s fashion presentation that took place Thursday, June 11th at at the W Los Angeles.
Sophie Blake began her interests in art and design at an early age. As a child, Sophie would spend the majority of her time sketching and painting. She graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and lived in Europe before moving to New York City where she renewed her lost passion for art. While a natural artist, Sophie took a particular interest in jewelry design and dove into the world of jewelry making with a Manhattan studio that provided her mentorship in creating unique and complex pieces. Meanwhile, Sophie’s growing love of architecture and Art Deco design began to naturally infuse itself into her ever-growing repertoire. This passion eventually culminated into her very first collection, which launched with Henri Bendel in New York. Sophie joined the greater Washington DC Fashion community one year ago.
Sophie Blake NY is carefully handcrafted in New York City using traditional jewelry making techniques and the highest quality materials including vintage chains, stones and crystals dating back as early as the 1930s.
