This week, it’s all about the BET Experience. Are you ready for three days of music, film and fun?
On Sunday June 30, the cast of BET’s 106 & Park will be live on the red carpet bringing television viewers from throughout the world an up-close and personal look at all the nominees, presenters and performers attending this year’s BET Awards show.
The best style news this week is that I got into the style minds of Paigion, Miss Mykie And Shorty Da Prince about their personal “Fab Five Lifestyle” on the show and in their everyday lives. You’ll be amazed to learn what the hosts of 106 & Park wear to they keep their own personal style fresh, simple and chic.
Paigion: Her Style, Her Way
This beautiful young lady is a big fan of stylish and colorful. Comfortable shoes are her mantra. And you’ll often see her styling a great pair of platforms. Her favorite shoe designer brands – those that have a special place in her closet and on set – range from Jeffrey Campbell, Jason Bolden, Jessica Simpson, and the oh so fab collections of Nine West. And let’s not forget her favorite pair of Jordan’s from Nike.
As for her hair, Paigion updates her long styles with regularity. Her on-air color style ranges from a black, blond ombre look to dark long flowing curls. A must have in her own bag of hair care essentials is Organix Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum. She says it’s essential to massage this serum around her edges 15 minutes each night. She believes her hair must be well kept, clean and on-point, both on and off the set of 106 &Park.
When it comes to her favorite designer fragrances, Paigion will always place Rihanna’s perfume collection at the top of her list of scents. In addition, she will wear SOMEDAY Perfume by JUSTIN BIEBER. This scent drives men wild and makes the girls who wear it totally irresistible. Dior’s Poison fragrance made her list of favorites, too, along with Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb perfume, which reflects a floral explosion when rocked by women of taste.
As for her daily style trends, Paigion is a big supporter of specialty boutiques in New York, loves a jean brand called Beverly Jeans, and is a big fan of leather pants with novelty designed T-shirts.
Shorty Da Prince, Billionaire Boys Club Style
Let’s jump into the fast lane with Shorty Da Prince. He is among the coolest of the 106 & Park hosts on BET. He keeps his style real with local indie designers, BPLR Born Poor Live Rich, Billionaire Boys Club, Black Apple and Ralph Lauren polo shirts. When it comes to his sense of shoe designers, he usually sports his Jordan’s, shell-toe rubber sole Adidas and Louis Vuitton Shoes for Men.
Let’s make it plain: Shorty keeps it simple and straight to the point.
His must-have fashion colors are blue, red and black. As for hair grooming essentials, Paul Mitchell products are a daily mandate. And since he was a teen, he’s added one brand as a constant staple: Jergen’s lotion. You can but it at any local grocery store. It’s a good brand you can trust.
Miss Mykie, Her Life, Great Style
Miss Mykie keeps it simple. When it comes to what style she likes to sport, she supports all trendsetting designers, from local indie designers to specialty stores. If it looks good on her and it’s comfortable, she’ll rock it.
Her focus is on color, comfort and what’s hot. When we place the spotlight on her favorite shoe designers, the list is vast. She loves Christian Louboutin, Giuseppe Zanotti Shoes, Channel and Jimmy Choo.
As with many women, she is a big fan of Nicki Minaj’s fragrance collection and Gucci perfume scents. In the make-up department, she keeps it real with MAC. They have vibrant colors that work for her complexion and she adores the brand extensive collection of lip-gloss, mascara, eyeliners, etc.
