TOMS is challenging people around the world to go “One Day Without Shoes” to bring global awareness to children’s health and education needs. Today, in Venice, CA, TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie walked barefoot alongside friends including, Jaime King, Brooklyn Decker, Andy Roddick, Willow Shields and 100 additional TOMS supporters in hopes of raising more awareness about the need for shoes.
When asked about supporting the TOMS cause, Jaime King, who has been a long supporter of the brand said while she loves the TOMS espadrilles and wears TOMS sunglasses almost every day that shoes aren’t just fashion accessories. They play a much bigger picture that goes beyond fashion and as a new mom she wants to do everything she can to support children all over the world.
Following the walk, guests and supporters were treated to a private luncheon in the backyard of TOMS Roasting Co. Later in the afternoon, TOMS supporters, Ashley Benson and Dianna Agron stopped by TOMS Roasting Co. – barefoot of course – to show their support for the movement. While in the shop, Ashley grabbed a cup of TOMS Roasting Co. coffee while Dianna checked out a pair of TOMS’ shoes – for another day of course!
Today’s walk in Venice wasn’t the only way TOMS supporters were getting behind a good cause. Jaime, Brooklyn, Andy, Willow, Ashley and Dianna were joined by hundreds of others across the globe who held their own events to raise awareness proving the more bare feet, the bigger the footprint. Brooklyn Decker, in addition to Jessica Szohr and Alex Pettyfer also lent their support via social media.
