Madeline Jones, Editor-In-Chief of PLUS Model Magazine, will bring the nationwide Ashley Stewart and PLUS Model Magazine Model Search to the Los Angeles area this month. The two fashion industry icons recently announced a contest to find a new plus-sized model to be featured in a magazine spread and social media campaign this summer. Other businesses looking to launch their own social media campaigns may want to consider doing so on Instagram. Ms. Jones and a fashion photographer will appear at the Ashley Stewart store in Culver City Mall, 6000 Sepulveda Blvd., on Saturday, May 18, 3-6 p.m.
During the event, aspiring models and the general public are invited to chat with Ms. Jones and hear tips on full-figure flattering styles. Model search hopefuls will be professionally photographed and entered on-site into the national contest. Everyone in attendance will be eligible to win Ashley Stewart gifts and receive shopping discounts.
Ms. Jones, a former full-figured model and recognized champion of plus size women, has appeared on ABC World News with Diane Sawyer, CNN, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, BET, MTV, and Nuvo TV – to name a few. Model search applicants must be U.S. residents 18 years or older and may not be under exclusive contract with a modeling agency. The Grand Prize winner will be flown to New York City for a photo shoot and interview to be published in the August issue of PLUS Model Magazine. She will receive the Ashley Stewart wardrobe worn in the photo shoot and will be featured in Ashley Stewart (www.ashleystewart.com) marketing and on the PLUS Model Magazine (www.plus-model-mag.com) website. Second and third place winners will receive an Ashley Stewart gift certificate.
