Art Hearts Fashion, the trailblazing fashion show production company, is set to kick off Los Angeles Fashion Week from October 19th to October 22nd, 2023. This year marks their 10th anniversary of hosting diverse, inclusive, and creative fashion shows at the iconic Majestic Downtown venue.
Key Highlights:
- LatinX Spotlight: Saturday’s runway shows will celebrate Mexican and LatinX designers, including Mister Triple X, Black Tape Project, Giannina Azar, Coral Castillo, and Walter Mendez, all based in Southern California.
- Project Runway Reunion: Notable Project Runway designers like Michael Costello, Coral Castillo, Natalia Fedner, NIZIE by Nizie Emirshah, Kentaro Kameyama, Mondo Guerra, and Richard Hallmarq will showcase their collections.
- LGBTQ+ Fashion: Richie Rich will debut a 90’s-themed streetwear collection under Richerette, while Argyle Grant unveils a luxury men’s swimwear line. Vichi Swim takes the spotlight on Saturday.
- Newcomers on the Block: Fresh brands, including Priestley Garments and Squadz Place, are making their LAFW debut. Squadz Place introduces collectible dolls with a unique interactive runway show.
- Sustainable Fashion: Love For Upcycling, dedicated to eco-friendly fashion, will showcase innovative designs. Clothing donations will be accepted and repurposed by designer Jose Alexander.
- Asian Designers: West Hollywood-based designers Alexis Monsanto, Kentaro Kameyama, Selenee, and Michael Ngo will present captivating collections.
- Celebrating Black Designers: Angela Dean Couture, Cross Colours, and Tell The Truth by Rainy Womack, along with Serbian designers Morphium Fashion and Formidable by Mina, will close Sunday’s shows.
- Rockstar Streetwear: De Florencio by Nino Cutraro will offer edgy men’s streetwear.
- Art Gallery Pop-Up: Six Summit Gallery will curate an art gallery featuring local LA artists during LAFW.
- Sponsors Galore: Innovative beauty, food, and spirits brands, including Beachwaver, Billion Dollar Brows, Empress 1904 Gin, and Coca Cola, will be part of the fashion extravaganza.
What’s Next: Art Hearts Fashion will follow LAFW with a VIP two-day Art Basel fashion event in Miami in December and launch Las Vegas Fashion Week in 2024.
